Domestic LPG Cylinder Price Slashed by Rs 200

New Delhi, Aug 29: The Centre has slashed the price of domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 200, benefitting 33 crore consumers.

 Union Minister Anurag Thakur said the decision is a gift from the government ahead of the Raksha Bandhan celebration.

 He said consumers under the PM Ujjwala Yojana will enjoy a benefit of Rs 400 as the price of the gas was cut by Rs 200 in March for his segment.

With the announcement today, a 14.2-kg LPG cylinder, which costs Rs 1,103 in New Delhi, will now cost Rs 903, news agency PTI reported. The price will be Rs 703 for Ujjwala beneficiaries.
