Ganja Mafia Suspected in Firingia Police Station Burning Incident

Firingia, Kandhamal district, is gripped by tension as the police intensify their efforts to bring the culprits behind the burning of the Firingia police station to justice. In a recent development, a total of 50 individuals have been booked in connection with the incident. As the police launched raids across various locations, 19 people have been arrested so far, including the mastermind behind the attack.

The swift action taken by the police has resulted in a sense of fear among those potentially involved, leading to a deserted atmosphere in Firingia as people fear arrest. The Kandhamal district police department has taken action against its own personnel, transferring Firingia police station in-charge, Tapan Kumar Nahak, to the district headquarters. Additionally, two home guards, Prashant Kumar Patra and Ravi Digal, have been suspended from their duties in connection with the incident.

The authorities are not taking any chances in maintaining law and order, as Ramesh Kumar Pradhan has been appointed as the new In-charge of Firingia police station. To ensure the safety of the area, five platoons of the police force have been deployed at various intersections and lanes in Firingia, and Section 144 has been imposed.

The incident has caused significant disruption, with the market remaining empty due to the prevailing tension. The police are diligently investigating the matter, and Kandhamal SP has expressed suspicion that the ganja mafia might be involved in the attack on the police station.
