PM Modi Tears Into Opposition, Alleges The Block of Undermining ‘Sanatana Dharma’
Bhopal, Sept 14: In a strongly worded critique aimed at the opposition INDIA alliance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday accused them of harbouring intentions to undermine ‘Sanatana Dharma’ and push back the country into slavery.
The Prime Minister's remarks at an election rally in Bhopal were the first after the controversy broke out over Udhayanidhi Stalin's statements, wherein the Tamil Nadu minister and DMK leader, a constituent of the INDIA bloc, discussed "eradicating" Sanatana Dharma and made unfavourable comparisons between the tradition and diseases such as dengue and malaria.
"They recently convened in Mumbai, and it appears they have formulated the policy and strategy for their 'ghamandiya' alliance. Moreover, they have crafted a concealed agenda, which revolves around an assault on India's culture. Their objective is to assail the faith of Indian citizens and obliterate the thoughts, values, and traditions that have unified our nation for millennia," NDTV said quoting the PM.
Drawing a connection between India's revered heroes and the enduring Sanatana culture, he continued, "The 'ghamandiya' alliance has committed to eradicating the very essence of Sanatana culture and the traditions that served as a wellspring of inspiration for figures like Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. It was the resilience of Sanatana that empowered Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmibai, to bravely confront the British, declaring her unwavering resolve to preserve Jhansi."
