Akshay’s Upcoming Movie Renamed ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’
Mumbai, Sept 7: Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’ has landed in controversy ever since the teaser was released recently.
The controversy stems from the sudden change in the title of the movie following intense buzz across the country that India would be renamed Bharat.
Akshay, who has been a votary of this change, got the title changed from Mission Raniganj: The Great Indian Rescue’ to ‘Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue’.
The actor, who is known for taking his stand on various issues, shared the new poster. But a section of the cine fans seemed averse to the change, subjecting the star to massive trolling on social media.
One of the X (earlier called Twitter) users posted screenshots of the previous posters that were posted by Akshay Kumar (now been deleted), which had the word India instead of Bharat.
A section of the Internet questioned the existence of Akshay Kumar's previous tweet about the film, in which the term India was used instead of Bharat. "Ye tweet kahan gaya (Where did this tweet go)?" a user asked.
The movie is slated to be released on October 6 across theatres in India/Bharat.
