BJP Likely To Return Back To Power In 2024: Survey
A poll conducted by ‘India Today-CVoter Mood of the Nation’ has indicated that BJP is likely to remain unchallenged by the opposition alliance named INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance). Out of the respondents surveyed, a significant 54 percent expressed skepticism about the INDIA alliance's ability to overcome the BJP, while 33 percent held a contrary belief. The remaining participants remained undecided.
Regarding the potential impact of the name change on garnering votes for the INDIA alliance, the poll highlighted a split opinion. Among the respondents, 39 percent were optimistic that the new name would attract votes, whereas 30 percent expressed disagreement. Another 18 percent held the view that the name "INDIA" wouldn't significantly influence votes and lacked catchy appeal. The remaining respondents were uncertain about the name change's effect on the election outcomes.
When questioned about the most fitting leader for the INDIA alliance, the poll revealed that 24 percent of the participants endorsed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, and her counterpart in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, both secured 15 percent support each.
Notably, the survey indicated a shift in public sentiment towards Rahul Gandhi since January, with only 13 percent considering him a suitable opposition leader at that time. Conversely, the endorsement for Arvind Kejriwal witnessed a decline from 27 percent since January.
