Hariharan, Ananya to perform at "Bhajan Sandhya" of EKAMRA Project

Bhubaneswar, June 28: Renowned singer Hariharan, aka H. Anantha Subramani will perform at the concluding ``bhajan sandhya’’ of the three-day-long ``Bhumi Pujan’’ or foundation stone laying ceremony of the much-awaited Ekamra Kshetra Amenities and Monuments Revival Plan. He will also be accompanied by well-known city girl Ananya Sritam Nanda of the Indian Idol Junior fame, Maithili Thakur, Ankit Batra and local sensation Abhilipsa Panda this evening.


Multiple activities like ``yajnya’’, ``bhajan sandhya’’ and dance programmes with the Shiva Purana as its central theme since 26^th evening have turned the entire Ekamra Kshetra area to a new happening place in the State Capital. Similarly, activities like sky projection, exhibition on the EKAMRA Project, projection mapping at the BMC Market Complex and beautiful lighting of Lingaraj Temple, Bindusagar and its ``Parikrama’’ and other smaller shrines nearby have given the Old Town area an all new look.

Earlier this morning, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone for the Rs 280 core EKAMRA Project and also felicitated the local residents, who have donated their land for the project to showcase the Old Town area with a new makeover.

Local resident Akshay Dash said ``the entire area of Ekamra Kshetra has become abuzz with so many activities and also the focus of the state government on the development issue will definitely provide Bhubaneswar a new perspective as the city is known for its 360 plus monuments with distinct Kalingan style of architecture.’’
