AI To Step Into Hiring Candidates Soon

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought major disruptions across verticals, and if studies are to be believed it could also play a major role in the hiring and recruitment space.

Popular job-seeking platform Resume Builder in a survey said 43 per cent of the HR personnel plan to use AI for interviews soon and 15 per cent of all the companies surveyed said they will extensively use AI from the beginning till the end of the hiring process.

According to the survey, 65 per cent said AI would increase hiring efficiency. In contrast, only 14 per cent remained sceptical about the efficiency aspect and 21 per cent saw no impact on the hiring landscape with AI. The survey was reported by NDTV.

The survey, however, remained confined to the USA covering over 2200 employed American right up to the age of 64. But the outcome reflects the changing dynamics of the workplace with the advent of AI.

According to a Nasscom report, a trade association body of the tech industry in India, introducing AI in job interviews can ensure objective assessment of the candidate and reduce the role of human biases. It will lead to data-driven hiring decisions and ensure fast recruitment drives.
