''For Expert Human Resource Pool Coordinated Efforts Need of the Hour''
Bhubaneswar, July 12: Odisha has already made a mark in skill development scenario with rapid economic growth and lifestyle changes among citizens. However, despite the strong foundation coordinated efforts by each Government Department has always remained the focus area.
Speaking at World Skill Centre here, Skill Development and Technical Education Department Pritiranjan Gharai yesterday said ``database of youth who have undergone skill development training by various departments still remains a challenge and it becomes a major stumbling block while portraying a collective scenario of skill development across the State.
Elaborating, he said that which department wants skill development in which areas should come to our notice so that specific skill development modules could be designed for better training and guidance. The Minister also called for coordinated efforts among all departments to develop a strong human resource bank and it would certainly take Odisha to the next level.
Calling for expert human resource development through integrated approach and roadmap of each Government department, the Minister also urged efficient use of modern tools, IT interventions and expert minds to bring in a sea change in the skilling sector.
School and Mass Education Minister Sudam Charan Marandi joined the conference and said ``human beings set their preferences as per time and taste. Skilling is very much needed for nation building so we will now work in coordination with the Skill Development and Technical Education Department for better human resource development in Odisha.’’
Principal Secretary Skill Development and Technical Education Department Usha Padhee also stressed at an inter-departmental coordinated approach for skill development. Secretaries and senior officials of 18 different Government departments also gave their views and suggestions and participated. At the end CEO Odisha Skill Development Authority and Director Employment Reghu G gave vote of thanks.
