Allahabad High Court Judge, Annoyed Over Onboard Services At Purushottam Express, Seeks Explanation
Bhubaneswar, July 19: A Judge of the Allahabad High Court, irked over onboard services in Puri-bound Purushottam express, has sought an explanation from the railways.
The judge along with his wife were travelling by the train on July 8 from Delhi to Prayagraj on AC 1st Class.
According to a letter addressed by the Registrar of the Court to the General Manager of North Central Railway, the GRP personnel failed to turn up to meet the requirements of the Judge as the train was running late by three hours.
“Further, no pantry car workers attended for providing refreshments despite repeated calls. Moreover, when the call was made to the pantry car manager, the call was not picked up,” the letter stated.
It said that the incident caused inconvenience and displeasure to His Lordship.
An explanation has, therefore, been sought from the railway officials, the GRP personnel and the pantry car manager, said the letter, adding that the same will be placed before the Judge.
