Health Secy Requests OPSC to Recruit 7,276 Medical Officers
Bhubaneswar, July 25: With creation of new posts under Odisha Medical and Health Services (OMHS), Secretary of the Department of Health and Family Welfare Shalini Pandit has requested Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) to start the process for recruitment of 7,276 doctors in Class-A posts.
Pandit has wrote OPSC that these vacancies are required to be filled up on regular basis on the recommendation of the Commission as per the provisions of OMHS Rules, 2017, OMHS Amendment (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2020, GA and PG Department Notification No. 5898 Dt, 22.02.2021 and relaxation to the provisions under Rule-6(6) specified in the Appendix appended at point no. 2(D) of OMHS Cadre Rules, 2017 on one time basis up to the following extent as concurred in vide OPSC Letter No. 5432, Dt 07.07.2023.
``The qualifying marks will be decided by the OPSC while recommending the required number of doctors,’’ she added.
