Odisha Cabinet Approves OTS Rules, 2023 to boost the Growing Tourism Sector

Bhubaneswar, July 22: The Odisha Cabinet has approved the Odisha Tourism Service Rules, 2023 in order to provide a boost to the restructuring of Odisha Tourism Service (OTS) Cadre that was approved by the Cabinet earlier.

Keeping in view the diversified nature of tourism, increasing work load, multi-tasking and skills involved, expanding new assignments, emerging competitiveness in the sector and to attract high quality professionals to the OTS cadre in order to market and promote Odisha Tourism to better heights and to make the green industry a viable engine of sustainable economic growth, the Odisha Government has restructured the OTS Cadre.

The total strength of OTS is fixed at 82 in different grades including 22 dying posts of Tourist Officers. Now, the Cabinet has approved the OTS Cadre Rules, 2023 in order to make this revision effective as the Rules will come into effect, immediately.
