National Reading Month Concludes at Hare Krushna Mahatab State Library

Bhubaneswar, July 19: Father of National Library Movement and also Kerala Library Movement, PN Panikar’s contribution is immense in spreading the library movement across India. To remember Panikar’s contribution ``National Reading Month’’ is celebrated each year from June 19 to July 18.

The Hare Krushna Mahatab State Library under Odia Language, Litarature and Culture Department, this year, celebrated the event and the closing ceremony was held on July 18 amongst the library users at the State Library Conference Hall.

Director Odia Language, Litarature and Culture Department Dillip Routray chaired the meeting in which Sujit Mohapatra of Bakul Foundation joined as the chief speaker and spoke about enhancing the reading habits among the kids and students.

Atashi Das, Joint-Secretary and Joint-Director Odia Language, Litarature and Culture Department, Librarian Rudra Prasad Behera, all the interns at Hare Krushna Mahatab State Library, staff working for the automation project and library in-charge Padmanabh Jena spoke.
