CEMC Eviction Drive at Kalarahanga Frees Six Acres of Govt Land
Bhubaneswar, July 6: The Central Eviction Monitoring Committee of the city authorities comprising Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) today carried out a massive eviction drive under Kalarahanga Mouza within the North administrative zone of BMC.
During the eviction process eviction squads of BDA, BMC (North Zone) and police force under Info-City Police limits carried out the day-long process and freed nearly six acres of Government land from the encroachers.
The CEMC eviction programme was enforced under the supervision of Joint Commissioner, Enforcement BDA Dr. Sweta Kumar Dash, and Liaison Officer BDA Subhransu Sekhar Mohanty in presence of Additional Tahsildar, Bhubaneswar. The requisition was given by Tahsildar Bhubaneswar. During the drive, 15 shed houses, three tin sheds , one large cow shed , more than 300-foot boundary wall, one house under construction and one `puja mandap’ were demolished.
