Aamir Khan Poised For Silver Screen Comeback After ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ Setback

Mumbai, Aug 29: Actor Aamir Khan is preparing to make a return to the big screen following the "Laal Singh Chaddha," debacle. The movie had fallen short of meeting audience expectations, leading to a period of project abstention from the actor. However, he has now given the green light to an upcoming cinematic project under his production banner, Aamir Khan Productions.

According to insider information from film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Aamir's next untitled project as an actor, is slated for a Christmas release in 2024. It has been reported that the filming for this project is scheduled to commence in January 2024. The film is currently in its pre-production phase.

In a recent X (formerly Twitter) update, Taran Adarsh shared, "#Exclusive… AAMIR KHAN RESERVES CHRISTMAS 2024 FOR HIS UPCOMING FILM… Aamir Khan Productions’ 16th Production [title to be unveiled], featuring #AamirKhan in the leading role, is set to debut on December 20, 2024, coinciding with #Christmas2024. Pre-production preparations are underway, and the cameras will start rolling on January 20, 2024… Further particulars to be disclosed soon."

Should this course of action unfold as planned, Aamir's cinematic creation will find itself in a cinematic clash with the much-anticipated sequel to Akshay Kumar's "Welcome." Titled "Welcome To The Jungle," reports indicate that the third instalment of the "Welcome" franchise will feature eminent names such as Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Additionally, it is rumoured that Akshay will reunite with Raveena Tandon in this production.
