PM Modi To Virtually Flag Off Puri-Rourkela VB On Sept 24

Bhubaneswar, Sept 21: The second Vande Bharat for Odisha will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 24 between Puri and Rourkela.

The train will run six days a week as per the time table that has already been finalized, sources in ECoR said. The trial run is expected to happen soon.

As per the schedule, the train is expected to leave Puri at 5 in the morning, 6.09 AM from Bhubaneswar and reach Rourkela at 12.45 PM. In the return direction, it will leave from there at 2.10 PM, reach Bhubaneswar at 8.15 PM and in Puri at 9.40 PM. It will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda and Rourkela.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had last month announced the introduction of the second Vande Bharat in Odisha, connecting Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.

The first Vande Bharat was introduced between Puri and Howrah on May 18. It was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
