Leopard In Mumbai Studio Makes Crew Run For Their Lives
Mumbai, July 27: A TV studio in Mumbai’s Film City was witness to a high drama on Wednesday, only that it wasn’t been enacted by the actors. Panic struck the crew during the shooting of a Marathi TV serial when a leopard was spotted trudging along a high railing inside the studio.
The crew ran for their safety, even as some people in a video, shared by news agency ANI, were heard speculating the presence of more than one leopard.
As per a media report, the leopard made a quite entry into the studio with her cub when the shooting was in progress.
The Film City in Goregaon is nestled between the lush green forest cover and has been witnessed to leopard spotting early as well. However, the All India Cine Workers Association expressed his dismay and anger over the latest incident, regretting lack of government initiative to prevent such incidences.
“More than 200 people were present at the set, someone could have lost life. This has been the third or fourth such instance within the last 10 days. Government is not taking strong measures towards this,” president of AICWA Suresh Shyamlal Gupta was quoted as saying.
