Incessant Rains Following Low-pressure: Minister Reviews Flood Situation
Bhubaneswar, August 2: Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Pramila Mallick took a meeting with Special Relief Commissioner and other senior officers today evening and took the stock of the heavy rain situation in the districts.
She also reviewed the water level of Baitarani river with Collectors of Keonjhar, Bhadrak, and Jajpur and directed to take all precautionary measures for possible flooding in river Baitarani. All field functionaries are kept in readiness to meet any eventuality.
The status of river Mahanadi was also appraised by Special Relief Commissioner to the Minister. She reviewed the situation with Collector Angul and Balasore.
One ODRAF,1 NDRF and 3 Fire Service Units in Jajpur/ 1 ODRAF,1 NDRF and 3 Fire Service Units in Bhadrak/ one ODRAF in Keonjhar/ one ODRAF and Fire Service Unit in Sambalpur/ One unit ODRAF and one Unit Fire Service in Mayurbhanj/ 1 ODRAF,1 NDRF and 1 Fire Service Units in Angul/ One Fire Service Unit in Sonepur and Kandhamal/ One NDRF unit in Balasore/ One ODRAF and Fire Service unit in Boudh have been mobilized for search and rescue operation.
The situation is under close watch by the District Administrations.
