UAE Launches Groundbreaking Golden Visa Scheme for Indian Talent

Dubai, July 7, 2025: In a transformative move to attract global talent, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has rolled out a nomination-based Golden Visa program, offering lifetime residency to Indian and Bangladeshi nationals for a one-time fee of ₹ 23.3 lakh.

Launched as a pilot initiative, this scheme eliminates the need for hefty property or business investments, marking a significant shift from the UAE’s traditional investment-based residency model.

Previously, securing a UAE Golden Visa required substantial financial commitments, such as investing AED 2 million (₹4.66 crore) in real estate or businesses.

The new program, however, focuses on merit and potential contributions to key sectors like culture, science, finance, trade, startups, and innovation.

This initiative, spearheaded by the Rayad Group in collaboration with VFS Global and One Vasco, aims to make long-term residency accessible to skilled professionals and high-caliber individuals from India and Bangladesh.

Rayad Kamal Ayub, Managing Director of Rayad Group, hailed the program as a “golden opportunity” for Indian and Bangladeshi professionals. “This scheme reflects the UAE’s vision to attract talent that can drive economic and cultural growth,” Ayub told PTI.

Applicants undergo rigorous vetting, including anti-money laundering checks, criminal background verification, and social media screening, to assess their potential to contribute to the UAE’s dynamic economy. Applications are then forwarded to UAE authorities for final approval.

The nomination-based Golden Visa offers significant benefits, including permanent residency without the need for renewals, unlike property-based visas that lapse upon asset sales. Approved visa holders can sponsor family members, including spouses, children, and domestic staff, and engage in professional or business activities without restrictions.

The initiative has sparked widespread enthusiasm, with over 5,000 Indian applicants expected in the first three months, according to Rayad Group estimates.
