Non-Natives Find Delhi & Mumbai Unfriendly Destinations
Delhi and Mumbai may be among the most visited cities for Indians, but they score way below on friendliness among non-natives.
The list was prepared taking six metrics into account such as visitors' return rate, friendly staff, community respect, acceptance for diversity, happiness and ease of communicating through a common language.
The acceptance of diversity metrics reflects the LGBTQ+ equality score in each city.
While Toronto in Canada topped the list of friendly cities with a score of 8.74 per cent, Sydney in Australia came at the second place and Edinburgh in England took the third place. Most of the cities in this list were from Europe and the USA.
On the other hand, Accra in Ghana was declared as the most unfriendly city with a score of just 1.52 per cent. The Marrakech in Morocco was placed at the second position and Kuala Lampur in Malaysia at the third place. Mumbai was placed in the fourth place. Rio De Janeiro in Brazil was fifth and Delhi in sixth place. Mumbai scored 3.78 on the Happiness index and Delhi scored 4.01.
