CUET-UG Results Declared

New Delhi, July 15: The results of the Common University Entrance Test-Undergraduate (CUET-UG), for admission to the undergraduate courses, were declared on Saturday, with 22,000 candidates achieving a perfect 100 percentile score. Among the subjects, English had the highest number of top scorers, followed by Biology and Economics, news agency PTI said.

The exams were conducted by the  National Testing Agency (NTA) and a staggering 11.11 lakh candidates appeared for the second edition of the entrance exam. Out of them, 5,685 candidates attained a perfect score in English, while 4,850 candidates excelled in Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry. Economics had 2,836 candidates scoring the highest. 

Sadhana Parashar, the Senior Director of the NTA, explained that each candidate's performance was evaluated using the equi-percentile method. This method involved calculating normalized marks for each candidate based on the percentiles of students in the same subject group across multiple days and sessions.

CUET-UG is the second-largest entrance exam in the country in terms of the number of applicants. In its inaugural edition, the exam saw registration from 12.5 lakh students, with 9.9 lakh applicants submitting their applications.
