Centre Writes To Odisha Govt After BJP MP Levels Allegations Against IAS Officer
Bhubaneswar, June 27: The Centre has asked the Odisha government to look into allegations levelled by BJP MP from Bhubaneswar Aparajita Sarangi and party chief Manmohan Samal against an IAS officer of Odisha cadre for violating the conduct rules.
The communication from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) was shared by Sarangi in a Tweet. She said “Based on clear evidence of violation, DoPT has asked Chief Secretary to take action as the state is the cadre-controlled authority. Hope law will be allowed to take its course,” she Tweeted.
The official communication, addressed to the Chief Secretary, has asked for actions as appropriate.
The development follows the Bhubaneswar MP's allegations that on June 25 over the huge deployment of police during 5T Secretary V K Pandian’s visit to Bargarh.
On the other hand, Odisha Congress on Tuesday also said that the party has written to the Centre, demanding action against the 5T Secretary for alleged violation of All India Services (Conduct) Rules.
